My recommendation to avoid such ugly results is to narrow your search, try to define as much as possible your interest you have in your future trip, as an example: if you are going to arrive in a cruise to Costa Rica, then you should first read in your cruise itinerary the name of the port in which your ship will arrive, and search under Port Limon Shore Excursions or Puntarenas Shore Excursions, these are the two main ports in both coasts of Costa Rica, and following this simple guideline may help you avoid millions of useless results.

Now if your interest is in Ecology, Bird watching or Nature trips, then we have another problem: All search results that show under queries like: (Costa Rica travel), or (Costa Rica Tourism) are web sites that are all -at the same time- mysteriously “nature specialists” and/or “ecological” and/or they all have the best “tropical rainforest tour” but, lets make ourselves an easy simple question: Is there any well defined quality standard to be sure what ecological tour means? And the answer is no. We have an approximated idea of what an ecological tours means based on our individual knowledge among this mater, and based on that, we have to make the right choice; this means that for a professor in biology, compared to an architect, expectations are really different.
